Privacy policy

Effective September 30, 2026.

This page explains what Meeks Mowing & Landscaping collects when you contact us, why we have it, and what we do not do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

What we collect

Only what we need to quote your job and get to your property:

• Your name, phone number, and email address if you give us one
• The address of the property the work is for
• What you told us about the job, including anything you typed into the form
• Payment details when you pay an invoice. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, and we never see or store your full card number
• Basic website information, like which pages were visited and roughly where from. This comes from cookies set by Google Analytics, and we use it only to see whether the site is working. You can block cookies in your browser and the site still works

Why we have it

To get back to you, price the work, schedule it, and follow up afterwards. That is the whole list. We do not build a profile on you and we have nothing to sell you later.

Texting

We only text you if you ticked the box on the form, and only about your estimate, your service, and one request for a review after the job. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP. The full terms are on our text message terms page.

Text message consent is never shared with anyone for their own marketing, and it is not sold. That is true of every category of information on this page, but carriers ask us to say it about phone numbers specifically.

Who else sees it

Nobody who is not helping us do your job. That means the people who run our scheduling, messaging, invoicing and payment software, and the crew doing the work. They only get what they need for that job and are not allowed to use it for anything else. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

The one other case is the law. If a court order or a legal requirement makes us hand something over, we will.

Keeping it safe

Your information lives in business software that requires a password, and the website sends everything over an encrypted connection. Only the people who need it for your job can see it. No system is perfect, but we treat your address and number the way we would want ours treated.

How long we keep it

As long as we are working for you, and afterwards for our own records and for anything the law requires us to keep. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights under Indiana law

Indiana residents have the right to:

• Ask what information we have about you and get a copy of it
• Have us correct anything that is wrong
• Have us delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it
• Opt out of the sale of your information or its use for targeted advertising. We do neither, but the right is yours
• Appeal if we turn down a request

How to make a request

Call or text (219) 250-0264, or email hmeeks74@meeksmowing.com. Tell us what you want us to do and we will answer within 45 days, which is the time Indiana law gives us, and usually much sooner. If we say no, we will tell you why. To appeal, reply and say you are appealing, and we will answer that within 60 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Indiana Attorney General.

Children

This site is for adults hiring work done. We do not knowingly collect anything from children.

Changes

If this page changes, the version you are reading is the one that applies.
