Text message terms

This page explains the text messages Meeks Mowing & Landscaping sends, and what you are agreeing to if you tick the box on our estimate form. You do not have to tick it. We will still get back to you if you leave it blank, and we will never make it a condition of doing the work.

What you are signing up for

Text messages from Meeks Mowing & Landscaping about your estimate and your service. That means us replying to your request, asking anything we need in order to price the job, telling you when we are coming, and one message after the work is done asking whether you would leave a review. We do not use it to send you promotions or offers.

How often

Message frequency varies. It depends on your job and on how much back and forth it takes. Most people get a handful of messages around the time of their estimate, one after the job, and then nothing.

What it costs

Message and data rates may apply. That is between you and your mobile carrier; we do not charge you anything to text us.

Stopping them

Reply STOP to any message and the texts stop. STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, CANCEL and QUIT all work. You will get one message confirming it, and then nothing. Reply HELP or INFO to any message and you will get our contact details back. You can also just tell us on the phone.

Who the message comes from

The texts say Meeks Mowing & Landscaping because they are from us, about your job. They are sent through Garten, the software we use to run the office, so the number they arrive from is Garten's rather than the phone in the truck. Replies come straight to us.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for messages that arrive late or do not arrive at all. If something is time sensitive, call us instead.

Your number

We do not sell your phone number, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their marketing. It is used to talk to you about your job and nothing else.
